Patrik Antonious

This is one of the most recognized poker players in the world. It is no wonder why this is so. His record speaks for its self. Patrik Antonius is of Finnish nationality. Ever since he turned professional in 2002 he has managed to earn over three million dollars. This player started playing the game with his friends and family just for leisure and it is only when he went online to play poker when he started to consider going professional. It did not take long for him to show signs of a champion in the making as his game improved along with his results.

When he moved to the united states and continuing to play for many hours. Playing online lead to him having a big bank roll and that earned him an invitation to satellite tournament of the world series of poker. Two things that he says contributed greatly to his success are advice from professional players and gaining entry into the satellite tournament. It is only after three years after turning professional that his rose came into bloom. He rocked the tournament circuit, he won two WPT tournaments as well as WSOP events were he pocketed hundred thousand dollars in total.

He did not only do well in the United States of America but went to Europe and did the same winning the Barcelona leg of the EPT. He won the EPT Baden classic. 2005 was truly fabulous year for the player and he finished as the highest earner. The amount he earned that year is still the record amount to be earned in one year by a player. He was not so lucky in the WPT Five Diamond Classic were he came second and got a check of one million dollars. Since 2005 Patrik has added more accomplishments to his rap sheet making it to the cash finishes of WPT and the WSOP events. He made it into the final table of the WSOP 2008 edition where he finished seventh and went home with 124 000 dollars. With this kind of record it is no wonder that some are saying he is becoming one of the best if he is not already one.

There is more to the player as he enjoys other games like golf and tennis. We wonder how great he would be in tennis. We want to have some challenge Federer.
